Documentation with this particular TR3A includes an extract from the production records of The Standard Motor Company Ltd, showing the sports car was built Tuesday 10th May 1960. The body colour at production was Signal Red; at some point it was resprayed green but in approximately 2015, it was resprayed back to the original colour. Apparently at one point in its history, it is indicated that the Triumph was a prize in a classic car magazine competition!

The vendor acquired the vehicle in 2017 for £21750 and since then, it has formed part of his classic car collection. We are told that it has remained in dry storage and occasionally started up during the ownership. The vendor’s circumstances have changed, and he is now releasing the TR3A for auction.  It has recently had an oil and filter change.

The engine starts and pulls well.  The gear box is good, and the brakes operate as they should.  The chassis and bodywork are free from corrosion and the paint work has a good shine. The car is considered a very useable example.  We understand the interior to be tidy and complete with instrumentation working as it should. The hood is present and  the TR3A sits on period steel wheels with chrome hub caps.

The history file contains numerous invoices, MOT certificates and the V5C registration certificate.
