1935 Rolls-Royce 20/25 Project
Make: Rolls-Royce
Model: 20/25 Project
Year: 1935
Registration Number: VJ 8120
Chassis Number: GBJ 57
Price: £2000
This Rolling Chassis was originally matched to a Hooper Limousine enclosed body. The chassis moves and rolls easily and retains many smaller components, such as oilers, brake cables, hand brake (operating and working), various brackets and suspension components. Of the remaining body panels, the ash frames are beyond repair but much of the winding mechanisms and fitments still remain. The steel chassis is has surface rust but is in relatively good condition.
Rolling chassis is supplied with: the gearbox; the front axle (with hub assembly but missing R-R wheel locking mechanism); the rear axle (with differential and hub assembly but without R-R wheel locking mechanism); suspension as fitted to chassis; the steering column; the steering box (plus attached components – still attached and steering the front wheels); the petrol tank; the bulkhead panel (with chassis number plate); brake drums (not all are complete); the prop shaft ; the bonnet assembly shroud (the structure that links the bulk head to the body); the bonnet (complete four panels attached together with hinges – one piece); four doors with glass; many small ancillary components as fitted to chassis.
A good project then for the Rolls-Royce enthusiast.
