Very popular and highly useable, the Morris 1000 has become a favourite in classic car circles. The characterful four door body style encloses a comfortable cabin for four and the well-tried 1098cc engine provides ample power to keep up in modern traffic, whilst returning around 40 mpg.

This particular Minor Saloon was purchased in 2004 by the vendor for his late wife, from the original lady custodian, who had owned it since new. As his licence has been withdrawn due to his age, he is no longer able to drive the Morris and very few miles have been covered in the last few years. We are told that a complete respray was carried out in 2014.The original Smoke Grey vinyl interior is generally sound, and the headlining is very clean, although the interior may generally benefit from valeting. All instruments are correct and working.

Mechanically, we are told it is all good. It is understood that an unleaded cylinder head has been fitted, together with a brake servo, and that the braking system was overhauled three years ago. The engine bay is tidy and a new battery was installed in April of this year. A reversing lamp is a later addition.

This is a good opportunity to acquire a well-loved Morris 1000, which with careful use after a few years of rest, should provide reliable transport and enjoyable participation at classic events.

The history file contains the V5C registration certificate, the current MOT test certificate and an invoice for the aforementioned battery.
