1928 Austin 7 Chummy

Offering more ‘Smiles per Gallon’ than any of its contemporaries, the delightful Austin 7 was truly a phenomenon and was offered in an array of body styles, one of which was the Chummy, a popular four seater open tourer. This charming example has been cherished by its late owner and it is understood to have been restored previously on the Isle of Wight. We understand it has been well maintained; most recently in September 2023, a full service was carried out and amongst other work, the ignition coil was replaced, a new distributor was fitted and the water-type carburettor was overhauled, improving the performance. A Klaxon horn is fitted

We understand that its condition now, over all, is very good. The body and paintwork are exceptional. The upholstery is in very nice condition, as are the carpets, and the all-important weather equipment and hood cover are in good order.

The history file contains receipts for work carried out and the V5C registration certificate.
