This Aston comes to auction from Wales, where for the last twelve years it has been cared for by an experienced classic car specialist and collector. We understand that in the previous ownership, the gearbox, the steering rack, radiator and condenser were replaced, and the supercharger overhauled. Regular servicing was also carried out.

During the current ownership, the motor car has continued to be carefully maintained and serviced; work has included the fitting of a new cylinder head and extensive rustproofing of the underside and box sections. In the last six years, we are told that the brakes and callipers have been overhauled, the wheels have been refurbished and new tyres fitted.  The vendor has been honest and fair with his description and tells us that the bodywork is sound and solid. Apparently the paintwork was refreshed in 2020; the paint now is in good condition but not concours. There is some blemishing on the boot lid above the AM badge, the driver’s door mirror has a scratched cover and the underside of the front skirt is scratched.  The interior appears to be very tidy with wear commensurate with age. The black mohair hood has a small repair on one side but is in otherwise good working order. The dashboard top panel has been replaced and instrumentation is in working order. Mechanically the Aston is described as being good, it runs well and is a pleasure to drive. The vendor tells us that the air conditioning does not work at present due to a leak. The interior light fuse has been removed as apparently they occasionally remain on.

The history file contains the service book, an Aston Martin repair manual, owner’s handbook, many invoices and the V5C registration certificate. A spare water pump is also supplied, together with a new Aston Martin badge.
