From 1948 until 1960, Peugeot produced their ‘203’ model range. With a certain nod to American styling, the 203 proved to be a success for the company and by the end of production, nearly 700,000 models had been manufactured in Berline (four door saloon), Commerciale (five door estate), Familiale (with three rows of seating) and Camionnette (pick-up) body styles, as well as low production coupe and cabriolet forms.
Perhaps more common around the vineyards of 1950s France, this classic 203 Camionnette should equally feel at home in rural England. The sturdy pick-up body offers plenty of space and lends itself to all manner of uses; certainly, it would be ideal for any Francophile with an idea to enter our burgeoning wine industry.
Little is known of this example’s early history, but we can confirm that the Peugeot has resided in this country since 2010. The current custodian has enjoyed his economical and useful classic commercial, regularly taking it for trips to DIY stores and to the local recycling centre.
The last MOT test certificate expired in September 2012; the vehicle is now of course MOT and road tax exempt.
The Pick-Up Truck is supplied with the V5C registration certificate, a registration dating certificate and other paperwork.
