Summer Sale Results

The early summer sun shone brightly on the packed marquee for our 2 June historic vehicle sale, at Athelhampton House, near Dorchester. Enthusiasts from the UK and abroad were drawn to an array of motorcycles, motor cars and automobilia, headed up by a 1959 Triumph TR3A (that was in its then current ownership for forty five years and had competition history) which made £24,750. A 1978 Dax Tojeiro Jaguar V12 Cobra Replica Auto sold to a local enthusiast for £19800 and an immaculate 1970 Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow I was purchased for £12760. A striking 1957 Ford Consul Mk II Saloon sold to a retro enthusiast for £6600 and a quaint 1955 Wolseley 4/44 found a new home with a collector in Cornwall for £4400. Interest in Mini’s continue apace with two very early examples, both with good histories and in need of major restoration, achieving £2035 and £2200. A modern classic 1998 BMW 840Ci Sport made £6820 and found a new home in Scotland.  Amongst other notable results, part of a private collection of unusual Italian motorcycles found new custodians, including a 1954 Pokerino 50 and a 1972 Motori Franco 50 Foldaway, again requiring refurbishment and achieving £649 and £561 respectively.
