Velocette was a small family firm based in Hall Green, Birmingham, which sold high quality hand built motorcycles with great success, in the face of mass produced machines from competitors at the time. Featuring their own patented design of swinging arm rear suspension and hydraulic dampers, Velocettes were considered very competitive throughout the life of the company, and the 500cc single model is thought to still hold the record for sustaining 100mph for a full 24 hour period.

Registered in 1963, this powerful 500cc example is known to have been imported from Cyprus and believed to have received ‘Clubman’ style Thruxton modifications at that time. Having been in dry storage for some time, we understand that the motorcycle was running three years ago, so will now require some recommissioning and a sympathetic restoration before returning to the road.

This beautifully ‘barn fresh’ example, supplied with a VE60 registration book and a V5 registration document, will hopefully find a suitable home with a Velocette enthusiast.
