The Mini, manufactured by BMC from 1959 until 2000, is synonymous with the 1960s. Manufactured at Longbridge and Cowley, and designed by Sir Alec Issigonis, this small economic motor car influenced a generation of car enthusiasts.

This early Austin 7 Mini has resided in Cornwall from new and has had just four owners in total. The first custodian was a Miss Burbidge of Camelford, who retained the Mini for some thirty two years and the history from this ownership is supplied. The second custodian was a garage in Liskeard, who then sold it to a Mr Green of St Austell. The motor car stayed in Cornwall and was on the road until 1999, when it was put into dry storage for sixteen years. The current custodian has owned JVS 978 for eight years, but with limited spare time, has reluctantly decided to part with his beloved project.

This early Mini has a fascinating history with few owners and is a worthy and interesting project. The file includes the V5C registration certificate, invoices, old MOT test certificates and sundry paperwork.
