1996 Aprilia RS250
Registration Number: P833 PYY
Frame Number: TN052999
Engine Number: 106740
Conceived after Aprilia’s Moto GP successes with the RSW250 ridden by Valentino Rossi, Max Biaggi and the like, the RS250 model was the company’s stylish offering for the road. Arriving in 1994, the two-stroke machine was showered with praise from the motoring press and because of its heritage, it certainly appealed to the motorcycling public too, outshining its contemporaries by a country mile.
The well fitted bodywork of this particular race bred RS250 conceals a high strength strong aluminium twin-spar frame that holds a V-twin engine, capable of reaching 130mph (not on the road, of course…). The machine has had few owners; it has been in the current custodianship for two years and the vendor also owned the Aprilia earlier on in its life, but regretting the sale so much, he had to buy it back! Unfortunately, for health reasons, the bike has remained in storage for a period of time so must be sold again, but it has clearly been well maintained and cherished during this ownership. The motorcycle should provide its new owner with many pleasurable rides, but will require a general service and MOT test before returning to the road.
P833 PYY is supplied with a quantity of MOT test certificates (the last expired in March 2016 and was not renewed due to the reason explained above), an HPI check report confirming a Category C insurance claim, a record of MOT tests, sundry invoices, two litres of special oil and the single seat conversion.
