Produced from 1970 until 1972, the Vulture was the English version of the classic American beach buggy. Just 175 models were manufactured during the two years of production; with many exported abroad, UK Vulture beach buggies are now very rare indeed.

This distinctively-designed Vulture comprises of a 78.5” wheelbase, a one-piece body with inset headlamps, flared wheel arches and side panels. It was the subject of a comprehensive rebuild and now features: Slot Mag alloy wheels with BF Goodrich AT and Cooper GTS tyres, Corbeau high back racing bucket seats with safety racing harnesses, a special gearstick, a fully carpeted interior, a roll cage, LED rear lights, USA rear adjustable air shock absorbers, a custom aluminium fuel tank and an extra reserve stainless steel tank, a master switch and special engine detailing, including a chrome guard and belts guard. The Vulture is finished in a smart deep red metallic ‘mirrorflake’.

The Buggy has been SVA type-approved and is unusually registered as an historic vehicle and is listed on the V5C as a convertible. It is tax exempt. The current custodian has purchased a purpose-made hood for the Vulture.

We are informed that the vehicle drives very well; the 1300cc engine is economical, offers good performance and sounds ‘the part’. This Buggy needs to be seen to appreciate the quality of the build and superb finish.
