1973 Triumph TR6

The TR6 appeared in 1968 to wide acclaim. The popular model was based heavily on its predecessor, but benefitted from a more stylised front and rear body, described often as ‘squared off’, that added to its sporty appeal. The TR6 also inherited the TR5’s powerful six cylinder engine and four speed manual gearbox, with overdrive a desirable option for the more serious driver seeking long legged driving. It was a huge success in America and production ran until 1976.

The current custodian purchased this TR6 in 2013 from TRGB of Cambridgeshire, in a fully restored condition. The motor car remains in excellent condition, apart from the odd and minor imperfection. The weather equipment is in good order, the interior is described as good also, and has possibly been replaced at some point in the past. After-market parts fitted include the wire wheels, door mirrors and a stainless steel exhaust system. The mechanics are described as in good working order, and reliable. This impressive TR6 is being sold due to the vendor’s work commitments and a lack of time to enjoy, but it is surely ready for some great classic driving with its new custodian this summer.

The history file includes a handbook, invoices and the V5C registration certificate.
