Introduced in Europe in 1973, the GT250 was very competitive even in comparison with some larger motorcycles of the time. The air cooled twin cylinder two stroke engine of 247cc surprised many riders with its vivid acceleration; yet it was also a very pleasant touring machine.
YPH 352T was first seen by the writer as a pile of parts, but over the last year or so, it has developed into a very handsome machine indeed. The frame was stripped and repainted and the important head bearing replaced. The engine was professionally rebuilt and various parts reconditioned or replaced. The result is a truly stunning machine, which will require a period of running in, as it had covered only a quarter of a mile at the time of inspection. This was partly due to the owner’s sheer amazement at the apparent performance, which far eclipsed his sense of self preservation.
It is intended that an MOT test certificate will be obtained prior to the sale and the motorcycle will be offered with a V5C registration certificate and various invoices connected with the restoration. A workshop manual is also included.
In addition a trailer, specially adapted for the Suzuki, will be included in the sale.
