1973 Rover P6 2000TC

Hailed as European Car of the Year on its arrival in 1963, the Rover P6 had a Monocoque construction which formed an extremely strong passenger cell. The model gained industry safety awards for, amongst other features, its standard passenger safety belts and an aptly named ‘safety’ interior. Further advanced features included De Dion rear suspension and disc brakes all around. Refined and dignified, these third generation Rovers appealed to those who appreciated performance, comfort and understated British design.

This smart P6 was purchased by the vendor in 1992 from the executor of the original owner. For the last four years, it has been in the care of the vendor’s brother, who describes the Rover as being good in most departments. Evidence of this is included in the history file, which contains the handbook, a vast number of invoice copies, a schedule of maintenance, the service book, vehicle specification and the V5C registration certificate.
