1999 Porsche Boxster

The convertible sporting Boxster was built by Porsche from 1996; closely related to the Cayman, these siblings were in the same family of mid-engined sports cars from the company and are still in production today. The name Boxster was an amalgamation of ‘boxer’ (the flat or boxer engine) and roadster. These first generation 2.5-litre flat six-cylinder, water cooled models were popular with Porsche enthusiasts who felt the Boxster had returned to its roots, not only with the mid engine but also in its styling, which was reminiscent of the 911. Today, the early models have retained their popularity and offer excellent value for money.

This 1999 example is finished in the pleasing colour combination of Pearlescent Blue with a complimentary grey leather interior, and is supplied with the private registration number of J6 DKP. We are informed that the Porsche has been well maintained and everything is in working order, including the power hood which can very satisfactorily be operated with just one finger! A new clutch was fitted in the last four thousand miles and all tyres are excellent; as the vendor states, there needs to be no money spent on this and it would make a good second fun car or indeed an ideal Christmas present, dare we mention it!
