The Mini, manufactured by BMC from 1959 until 2000, is synonymous with the 1960s. Manufactured at Longbridge and Cowley, and designed by Sir Alec Issigonis, this small economic motorcar has appealed to all manner of motorists and their enthusiasm lives on some 55 years later. You are sure to find a local Mini Owners Club not far from your home.

In all respects, this Morris Mini was almost brand new when it was purchased by the current owner’s sister in 1968, with only 6000 miles on the clock. During that twenty-six year ownership, this iconic little Mini made mostly local trips around the country lanes of Kent and to church on a Sunday.

The motor car travelled to France on three or four occasions, from Lydd Airport to Le Tourquet by “Silver City” Airways who used old Bristol Freighters to carry three cars at a time.  However, true to form, it never ventured further than twenty miles from Le Tourquet.

In 1994, ownership of PKJ 866G passed to the current custodian and since 2008, the motor car has been dry stored.  Supplied with this interesting Mini is a history file that contains numerous MOT Test certificates, invoices, the V5 document and two V5C registration certificates.
