From 1956 until 1971, the Morris Minor was produced in large numbers both in saloon, convertible, estate car and commercially as a van or pickup truck. With simple mechanics comprising a four cylinder engine and a four speed gearbox, maintenance was easy and petrol consumption at around 40 mpg meant this was indeed a cheap car to run. With an accessible spares back up and the superb Morris Minor Owners’ Club for support, the Minor is as popular today as it was in its heyday. It provides reliable and economical classic motoring, as ideal for family outings as it is for practical, every day transport.

With few owners, this example appears to be in good condition throughout. Recent maintenance includes a complete brake overhaul (with the replacement of most components), and the renewal of both rear road springs and bushes. The very pleasing Minor is sensibly upgraded with a stainless steel exhaust system, an alternator and a brake servo. The interior is presentable and smart, and interestingly, it is equipped with factory fitted reclining front seats, which is a rarity indeed.

The large history file contains a large quantity of invoices, numerous MOT test certificates, the old V5 document and the current V5C registration certificate.
