For those looking for a modern version of a 1960s classic sports car, a Mazda MX-5 probably cannot be bettered. From its introduction in 1989, the model has found success throughout the world as a lightweight, economical but well-appointed sporting motor car that offers its occupants more than a just a hint of the new-found excitement those in the Sixties experienced in their innovative MGBs, Lotus Elans and the like. As with all popular ‘classics’, a proud owner of an MX-5 of any age will find excellent back-up from a community of like-minded enthusiasts and plenty of opportunity to enjoy their car, either as daily transportation or as a weekend fun car.
This special edition 1.8 Arctic with hardtop is in truly excellent condition, a phrase we can seldom use. Remarkably, the Mazda has had just two lady owners from new, a full service history and a mileage of just 14200. The interior and bodywork is in original and unmarked condition; likewise, the underside is original and rust free. The timing belt and tensioner were replaced at 12983 miles. The petite sports car has clearly been cherished throughout its life and is ready and waiting for a summer of touring with its next custodian. What an excellent opportunity.
The history file supplied is comprehensive and includes the original owner’s manual, the handbook, the key code, a large quantity of invoices and MOT test certificates, Mazda correspondence and the V5C registration certificate. Also supplied is the hardtop storage cover and a car cover, although the MX-5 has always been stored in a garage.
