Unveiled at the 1995 Geneva Motor Show, the ‘F’  was first of an all new designed MG since its predecessor, the 1962 MG B. The two seater sports model was conceived by Rover’s British design team and had a mid-engined, rear drive layout and a stylish, aerodynamic body.

In theory, this is an inexpensive starter classic sports car. One could be forgiven for this opinion; inexpensive, yes, but in actual fact, this VVC version with its manual five speed gearbox is a true performance MG in its own right, with the 1796cc engine producing 143bhp. Some years ago, there was a race series for this model, and many to this day are used in competition. This smart British Racing Green example is enhanced with leather upholstery, alloy road wheels and power assisted steering. It is described as good in all departments, and we are told by the vendor that it drives very well indeed. The hood is a later replacement in black mohair.

The MG is supplied with the original handbooks and service book, the V5C registration certificate, sundry invoices, and old MOT test certificates.
