The Jaguar name evokes both sporting triumphs in post-war racing and rallying circles but is also highly respected in terms of providing high levels of comfort and performance in family/business transport. The XJ series brought levels of ride thought to be commensurate with the best from Rolls Royce and Mercedes and has set a standard which lesser manufacturers now strive to equal.
The addition of the 5.3 litre V12 engine as fitted to this 1989 example, brought a whole new dimension to Jaguar power. Silky smoothness became the order of the day as opposed to the raw power of the six cylinder units and the owner’s pride in lifting the bonnet of a V12 powered car is immeasurable. Coupled to an equally smooth automatic gearbox and you have a highly potent yet utterly relaxing conveyance. The factory fitted electric sunroof is a pleasing addition.
Here is an opportunity to acquire seemingly a one lady owner vehicle, in its original blue coachwork and sumptuous stone leather interior, with fine walnut dashboard and informative instrumentation. Generally the car is described as being in good condition, noting some paintwork having been carried out over the years and a little more thought desirable to bring the car up to a level of cosmetic approbation appropriate to her years.
The vehicle is offered with a V5C registration certificate, current MOT test certificate and a vast history file with original sales invoice and some impressive invoices for work carried out, some of which has been carefully photographed.
Surely this car represents truly amazing value for money and deserves to be cherished not only for potential future investment, but for a seriously lovely car to enjoy if only for special occasions.
