2006 Jaguar S-Type SE Auto Saloon

For those that may have missed the Classic Mk II Jaguars and S-Types of the sixties, it is good to see that this 2006  S- type still retains a little of the character of its forebears. First seen at the Birmingham Motor Show in 1998, the new S-Type was designed by Geoff Lawson with a later facelift in 2004 by Ian Callum. The dignified sweeping lines have definite Jaguar underpinnings albeit that they are built on a Ford platform.

This very smart example is finished in dark blue with parchment trim and has the 2.7 litre diesel engine with J gate automatic gearbox. The European Motoring Press praised the car as a ‘paragon of refinement, quietness and fuel economy’ and indeed the S-Type may well be a possible classic car in the making. Certainly at this time it offers excellent value for money.

There is a V5C registration certificate with the motor car, together with handbooks, the service portfolio and original wallet, MOT test certificates and invoices confirming a cambelt change at 130487 miles. There is also a service invoice, dated 6.5.2021, at a cost of £1083.47, carried out by a Jaguar specialist.
