Honda’s Legend has been in production since 1985 and is the company’s luxury-end model, benefitting from refined styling and a powerful V6 engine. The first generation was the result of a partnership that started in 1981 between Honda and the Austin Rover Group; it was intended that Rover would produce the high specification model for the British market. The second generation arrived in 1990, with the saloon now accompanied by a coupe that had been launched two years earlier. Slightly larger than its predecessor, the Legend of the first half of the Nineties offered amongst others an ‘alpha’ interior and a passenger airbag and benefitted from the testing done for its cousin, the NSX.

This modern classic 1994 Legend Coupe has been in the current ownership for some twenty  years, during which time it has been regularly serviced and maintained to a good standard. In 2014, both rear wheel arches and both sill panels were cut out and new sections welded in and resprayed at a total cost of £880. Cosmetically, the Honda is in good condition and sits on its original alloy road wheels. We understand the mechanics to be in good order, apart from the air conditioning system which is not working, and it now requires a new exhaust for the MOT test. The interior is tidy and has aged well but the CD player is not currently functioning.

M252 SRF is supplied with an extensive service history, documentation, handbooks and the V5C registration certificate. With the 3.2 litre V6 engine, this Legend is well suited to long distance cruising and is now becoming a very rare model.
