2005 Harley-Davidson FXSTI Softail 1450cc

As a trademark of Harley-Davidson, ‘Softail’ has become synonymous with the company since 1984 when the first FXST machine was launched. With a hidden rear suspension and shock absorbers, the name ‘Softail’ guaranteed a smooth, effortless ride.

This two-owner FXSTI, resplendent in electric blue, boasts a high specification. The engine has been ‘Stage One’ tuned which, together with the fitted Screaming Eagle exhaust pipes, produces approximately an extra thirty brake horsepower. It is fitted with a double seat, a tinted windscreen and two spot lamps.  The Harley is described as being in good overall condition, apart from some pitting to the front chrome forks, and fires first time, producing a rather fabulous sound from the 1450cc engine and those exhaust pipes. The motorcycle is equipped with an alarm /immobiliser.

YJ05 GKP has been in dry heated storage for some time and seldom used, due to the last owner’s job in the military and latterly NATO. The odometer reading of just 14522 miles is correct. Because of the storage, the motorcycle will require an MOT test certificate and possibly a service before returning to the road, neither of which should present any problems.

The V5C registration certificate is supplied, together with sundry invoices, a workshop manual, a parts manual, other publications, some service spares and the original exhaust silencers.
