The Ford Thames 300E was produced from 1954 until 1961.  The name was in fact given to all sizes of Ford commercial vehicles throughout the 1950s, but by 1965 the title was discontinued. The 300E was created in 1954 and modelled on the Ford Anglia and Prefect 100E range. The 300E ceased production in 1961 and was replaced in the same year with an Anglia 105E influenced Thames 307E. Compared to other light commercials, the Ford 300E is a rare sight on our roads today and make for a fabulous platform for small business advertising.

One of the few survivors of this make and model, 735 XUX is in show condition and powered by the original 1172cc tuneable engine with a three speed gearbox.  The bodywork is in remarkable rust-free condition and the paintwork is in an attractive high gloss green. The interior of the vehicle is in very tidy condition, with the original grey seats and the addition of an appealing fitted external metal sun visor.

The vehicle has had no use due to the restrictions of the pandemic but has now been serviced, and a brake overhaul has been carried out, with a new master cylinder, brake linings and wheel cylinders fitted.  Interestingly, the Ford is fitted with a battery master switch and electronic ignition.  The tyres on the vehicle are in almost new condition. The V5C registration certificate is supplied.
