According to the Royal Enfield Owner’s Club Dating Officer, the frame and engine of this machine is an early 1960s Bullet. Factory records confirm that the engine was sent to Enfield India, based in Madras. The frame was manufactured by Enfield India using the original jigs from Redditch. The motorcycle was then assembled in India and marketed as an Enfield. The REOC document supplied states that the machine is a 1964 Enfield 346cc, produced for India’s home market. The current custodian informs us that whilst on a five year assignment in India, he personally supervised an extensive refurbishment of the Enfield in 2008 / 2009 before importing it into the UK in 2009. Since the restoration, the motorcycle has covered just 573 miles, ridden solely by its owner.

The restoration was completed by professional Royal Enfield specialists and the machine is supplied with a spares pack, a storage cover, a pillion seat, leather pannier bags, a tool bag and a spare rider’s seat. The file includes the aforementioned REOC document, copies of documentation, the V5C registration certificate and past MOT test certificates. The Enfield is at present on SORN, and the road tax classification for the motorcycle is ‘historic’.
