The Birmingham Small Arms Company was established in 1860 by a group of gunsmiths who produced military and sporting firearms. In 1880, the company diversified into bicycles and by 1911, the first 3 ½ hp motor bicycles were in production. The Bantam has been with us since the early 1950s and was in service with GPO personnel for telegram and postal deliveries, as well as being popular with private individuals. Its charm may well lie in its simplicity, being easy to use and maintain.

Appearing to be surprisingly complete, we are informed that the engine of this restoration project Bantam turns and all gears locate. It has been dry barn stored for many years and should prove to be a worthwhile project for a young, or perhaps a not-so-young, enthusiast! The V5 document is supplied, together with the current replacement V5C registration certificate.
