2001 BMW 740i Auto Sport Saloon

Certainly earning the tag ‘The Ultimate Driving Machine’, the 7 Series arrived from BMW in 1977 and instantly found favour with the rich and the famous. It was to become the jewel in company’s crown; the stylish design details and mechanical innovations first seen in the 7 Series eventually found their way to the smaller models in the BMW family. The third generation was produced from 1994 until 2001. Boasting a standard integrated satellite navigation system as a European first, BMW also offered customers the choice of six cylinder and V8 diesel, or six cylinder, V8 and V12 petrol engines driven through an automatic gearbox with up to five speeds.

This 740i V8 Sport model is a very good example of its type, having been in the current ownership for some eleven years with just three recorded previous keepers. The Pearl Beige Montana leather interior is difficult to fault and the Biarritz Blue metallic exterior is (apart from some minor scuffs and one small corrosion area on the rear panel) in good order. The service book supplied confirms regular BMW servicing. As one would expect, it is a pleasure to drive and has retained all the elegance and power so synonymous with the marque. X63 RBY clearly offers excellent value for money.

The history file includes the original sales book, a specification and price list, the V5C registration certificate and numerous MOT test certificates, together with the original leather wallet containing the aforementioned service book, handbook and various equipment instruction books. The original tool kit, torch, fire extinguisher, first aid kit and Motorola telephone are also supplied.
