Founded in 1905 by Herbert Austin, the company’s fortune was effectively made by the ‘Seven’. Practical and reliable, sales of the models boomed right through to World War II, wiping out the competition for Light Car dominance. Throughout the Thirties, Austin stayed ahead of its rivals by producing motor cars which were reliable and well appointed.

Although this 1931 Austin Seven has no body, it should prove to be an exciting project. The tantalising question for any perspective purchaser is does one rebuild the motor car as a Tourer (as it is in fact registered as) or does one use it as a basis for a quick special suitable for VSCC events?

RP 9885 has been in the current long-term ownership since 1968. We understand that most necessary components are supplied, but cannot guarantee this.

An RF60A registration book and the V5C registration certificate are supplied.
