The newest of our Austin Seven offerings for this sale, still with the same basic engine and running gear but this time in the form of a four seat, two door saloon. A very popular choice as a starter classic and very easy to live with, plus at 10’6” x 4’4” it can fit into the smallest garage.

The Ruby also forms part of a private collection offered in this sale. It appears to have been restored in the 1980s, with Waxoyl being applied to the excellent chassis. The paintwork remains quite good, brightwork is good as are the wheels and glass. The interior appears to retain the original leather seats, which at 80 years old are still serviceable. Door cards and headlining have been replaced and the dashboard has the correct instruments, which are believed to be working. The Classic Car Weekly magazine carried out a road test of ERA 776 in June 2016 and reported that it ran beautifully. Having said that, the motor car has not been run recently and will require a new battery and some re-commissioning before returning to the road.

The Austin is offered with modern V5C registration certificate, many old MOT test certificates and a copy of the Classic Car Weekly road test. It is currently on a SORN.
