From the same Devonshire deceased estate as the Daimler Conquest Saloon, this imposing big Austin may not necessarily require a major overhaul. It was used as a wedding car a few years ago and has been in the same family ownership for some three decades. The Austin appears to be complete; the body is solid and fitted with a Double-Duck hood, side screens and a chrome radiator surround. The upholstery is largely sound, but the driver’s seat may require some attention to the leather. Mechanically, these big Austins have a history of being dependable and hopefully this example will be able to return to the road soon with a proud new owner. It has a car number of 255/18.

ADDENDUM

The Austin 18 has been in the same ownership for thirty three years. We understand that it underwent a restoration in the 1980s; a list of the work carried out will be supplied with the motor car, together with MOT test certificates from the 1960s and 70s and the V5C registration certificate.
