Summer Sunshine

A large gathering of enthusiasts and collectors descended on our Summer Sale on the 9th of July at the beautiful, sunny Athelhampton House, near Dorchester. With a selection of memorabilia and vehicles on offer to suit all, the auction sale proved to be a successful one, with interest coming not only from inside the marquee, but as far afield from Florida and Qatar.

Closer to home, the 1954 MG TF 1500 found a new collector-custodian in Cornwall for £22000; the regal Bentley S3 LWB Saloon of 1963 vintage made its way to Canterbury for £24200 and the very stylish 1995 Bentley Turbo R Saloon found a new home in London for £10450. The auction house was pleased to sell the cherished 1969 Daimler V8 250 Saloon to a private collector in Yorkshire for £8690, and happily, the superb 1982 Land Rover Series III 88 Inch Safari found its way back to its home county of Devon, purchased by an enthusiast couple for £8470. Amongst other sales, the smart 1960 Triumph TR3A made £24750 and the 1967 Ford Anglia 1600 De Luxe Estate Rally Car sold for £4620; the ever-popular Mini was well represented by a modified 1971 Austin Mini Cooper S 1275cc Mk III (selling for £8140), a rare 1996 Rover Mini 1300 Cabriolet (£8470) and a  1998 Rover Mini Cooper Sport (£4950).
