Our Winter 2013 Sale Includes....

A private collection of three rare pre-war motor cars from Orpington in Kent are among the highlights of our winter sale, which will be held on Thursday 5th December at Athelhampton House, near Dorchester, Dorset, DT2 7LG.

The collection comprises of two motors with coachwork by Martin Walter: a 1934 Daimler 15 Rye Cabriolet and a 1934 Lanchester L10 Doctor's Drophead Coupe. The Daimler is in good running condition with a lovely interior and is offered with a guide price of £11000 – 15000. The Lanchester was the subject of an older restoration and remains in good, usable condition; its pre-sale estimate is £9000 - 11000. A 1929 Austin Seven Taylor Semi Sports completes the trio; one of just four known survivors, the charming petite sports car has clearly been well-cared and carries a guide of £16000 - 18000. All have had the benefit of an enthusiastic and knowledgeable owner who has researched the history of each extensively.

Complimenting the private collection are two vintage Austins: 1927 12/4 Windsor Saloon, in ‘Oily Rag’, running condition, and a restored 1928 12/4 'Heavy' Clifton Tourer.

A rare Rover P4 ‘Cyclops’, a 1956 MG ZA Magnette, 1955 Hillman Minx Mk VIII Convertible, 1969 Rover P5B Saloon and a 1968 Bedford CA Dormobile Romany Motorhome form the retro line-up, and an excellent selection of motorcycles for two-wheeled enthusiasts, including a 1938 Excelsior 98cc Auto Byk, a c1964 Triumph Tiger Cub 200cc Trials and a 1965 Piaggio Vespa Sprint.
