New Master Class Trophy for Rotary Clubs of Sherborne Historic Vehicle Rally

We enjoy a good car rally here at DVCA, and one of the best events local to us in the South West is the Rotary Clubs of Sherborne Historic Vehicle Rally, which is held at the Sherborne Boy’s School Quadrangle annually on the Sunday of August bank holiday.

Having judged for many years at the Rally, DVCA’s Brian Chant has donated a  trophy for the new ‘Master Class’, which is for those motor cars that regularly win their individual classes. The event this year, held on the 26th August, boasted a superb, high quality turn out of historic commercials, motor cars and motorcycles. There were some spectacular entrants for the Master Class, but alas there could be just one winner of the DVCA trophy, which was an immaculate 1929 Alfa Romeo 1750 Drophead Coupe, belonging to Mr Phillips from Sutton Veny.
