Dorset Vintage and Classic Auction's Autumn Sale proved to be the largest sale to date, with some fifty motor cars and historic commercials entered.

As usual, many telephone bids from overseas buyers were conducted; most notably, an American buyer purchased the 1965 Austin A35 Van for a world record price of £7150. The 1978 Ferrari 308GTB/288GTO Evocation is off to Germany for the sum of £22,275, and the very rare, part restored 1934 Mercedes-Benz Type 200 Cabriolet C is also destined for Germany, for the price of £15,400.

Other notable sales included the S2 and S3 Bentleys, which sold for £21,725 and £18,500 respectively and the 1962 Daimler SP250 Dart which made £18150. The beautiful 1968 Mercedes 280SL with Pagoda hardtop sold to the trade in London for £22,275 and a part-restored MG C Roadster made an amazing £7590. The traditional MG's sold well: a restored 1951 TD made £19,910 and a pretty 1936 PB sold for £23,650. The elegant Lancia Flavia Coupe sold for £5610 and the 1949 Jaguar MkV 3.5 Litre Special Drophead Coupe went for £16,500.

Agricultural vehicles continue to be very popular, with the 1954 Land Rover Series 1 making £3960 and the 1963 Fordson Super Dexta Tractor selling for £2970. All other results can be found on the DVCA website.
