Autumn 2015

Our Autumn Sale on the 15th of October promises to be the most eclectic and exciting to date. The grand setting of Athelhampton House will provide a suitable backdrop for the high quality and interesting range of vehicles our auction house will offer; heading the line-up will be a grande dame of British sporting motor heritage, a superb, much loved and rare ‘S’ model 1960 Jaguar XK150 Fixed Head Coupe, resplendent in Carmen Red and with a guide price of £70000-80000. Complimenting two beautiful vintage 20hp Rolls-Royces and an exceptional Rolls-Royce 20/25 are a variety of excellent pre-war motors, including a trialled 1929 Morris Minor OHC Semi-Sports, two 1930s Morris Eight Tourers, a pretty 1935 Riley 9hp Merlin Saloon, an excellent 1926 Austin 12/4 Tourer, a petite 1933 Austin 7 Four Seat Tourer, a 1938 Packard Super Eight Touring Limousine and a barn-find 1932 Austin 10 Clifton Tourer with Dickey. A 1947 Hillman Minx Drophead Coupe leads the way towards more modern classics, represented by amongst others a 1989 Morgan + 4 16 Valve Two Seater, a 1968 MG B Roadster, a 1976 Lotus Eclat 521, several Minis and motorcycles and even a 1996 GMC Suburban 5.7 Litre V8 Auto Estate! And last but by no means least, is a first for us: a lovingly restored and superb c1938 Raven 16' Dominion Touring Caravan, surely a must for any lover of the era.
