Morris Motors Ltd of Cowley was proud of its reputation for making motor cars of quality and reliability and the ‘Cowley’ model has long upheld this. Produced from 1915 with a Bullnose radiator inherited from the Oxford, the models were equipped with a side-valve, four cylinder engine, coupled to a three speed gearbox, which provided fair performance for its era, and with its sibling the Oxford, the Cowley was amongst the most popular of motor cars in 1920s Britain.

We understand that this handsome Bullnose is in very good order throughout, both cosmetically and mechanically. The weather equipment is in good, serviceable condition and needless to say, the upholstery and interior is in fine order too. Should confirmation of reliability be required, in December 2021 the vendor took the Bullnose on a six day drive around Somerset and Dorset, to raise much needed funds for the Yeovil Free Wheelers blood bike group and in appreciation of their service to the NHS. The Morris received a warm welcome at several hospitals, including the Dorset County Hospital in Dorchester, and the report of the fundraising tour, as featured in the New Blackmore Vale Magazine, is included in the history file. Also supplied with the Morris is sundry paperwork, two original car manuals, a V5 document and the V5C registration certificate.
