The Hillman Minx was introduced in 1932 to take the company into the mass production class. After the company’s war service, the Minx reappeared as the Mk I in 1945 and gradually evolved over the following two and a half decades, providing transportation for the British motoring public. If one thinks of the cars of the nineteen fifties, the Hillman Minx would surely come to mind as that dependable form of family transport that pottered uphill and down dale, causing little or no offence to anyone, or the local flora and fauna for that matter.

This fine example has been cherished in a private collection. We understand that it has resided in the Bridgwater area since 1991, possibly earlier, but it has clearly been a loved motor car throughout its life.  From paintwork to interior and engine bay, everything is tidy and could well manage to attract prizes at Rallies and Shows, and the Minx may indeed have covered relatively few miles. Mechanically, we understand that the motor car starts and performs as it should, and cosmetically, as mentioned above, it is difficult to fault. A perfect classic for family motoring.

The V5C registration certificate is supplied.
