‘Fanny B’ Motorcycles were produced from 1919 as reasonably affordable means of general transport by Gordon Inglesby with Francis and Arthur Barnett at Lower Ford Street, Coventry. The workshops were destroyed during the war and in 1947 the firm was taken over by AMC and run in conjunction with James Motorcycles. In 1962 production of Francis-Barnett bikes was moved to the James premises in Birmingham where they continued until 1966. Lightweight and easy to maintain, they remain popular today.

This smart Falcon previously resided in the Midlands before finding its way to Surrey with its current collector custodian. We presume it has been the subject of an older restoration; the body and paintwork remains in good order, apart from some superficial scratches to the front mudguard, and the dark green seat is in excellent condition. Mechanically, we are informed that there are no known issues. It’s a good looking motorcycle and should prove to be a welcome participant at club events this summer.

The history file contains old tax discs from 1993 to 2015, MOT test certificates from 1992 to 2016, photocopy wiring and maintenance information, a photocopy instruction manual, a bill of sale for the current ownership, an RF60 continuation book, a photocopy V5 document, the V5C registration certificate and others.
