A very British Auction...

Maybe we are feeling a bit embarrassed at the moment for being British, particularly on the motoring front. There is not a truly British car to be had from new and most of us are driving Asian and Oriental vehicles if we cannot afford Europe’s finest. So allow DVCA to take you back to the heady, mainly post war years as we offer a superb range of Britain’s finest including;

The utterly superb 1959 Jaguar Mk IX Saloon with full history from new.

A 1968 Bristol 410 saloon, the true gentleperson’s conveyance,

From Bentley we have a 1951 Mk VI, an R type for restoration and a 2003 Arnage R,

A two owner 1971 Rover P6  3500 automatic smartly presented in Mexico brown.

A beautiful 1948 Austin 16 de luxe in gleaming black with sunroof, plus another for spares.

A very genuine Hillman Minx in lovely order and believed low mileage.

Cue 007 music as in ‘My name is Bond’ and marvel at the fantastic example of an air cooled three wheeled convertible of that name in British Racing Green.

We make no apologies for including in this category the pre-war Buick straight eight saloon which is right hand drive and made in Canada. We recovered this from a barn after 30 years asleep, clearly needing a makeover paint-wise but take a look at that interior! A quick coat of mat Olive Drab and it will be welcomed at military re -inactions etc.

The Motorcycle side has opened with a lovely 1960 AJS Model 350cc, whilst from the sixties comes an ex police Triumph TR6 Trophy and more recently the 1976 BMW R90/6 which has been converted to 1,000cc looks exciting. More on the way from Triumph and Norton, Francis Barnett and another AJS. On that note try and find a home for the Stevens three wheeled van as a later product from the AJS  family.

So at a time when there is so much unrest and unhappiness and things taken for granted are disappearing or are broken, take comfort in the fact that the British Vintage and Classic Vehicle world is very much alive and DVCA will continue to try and keep it so.
