The original S-Type was an evolution of the Mk II and was produced from 1963 until 1968. The modern era S-Type arrived in 1999  and the styling by Geoff Lawson drew heavily on its Sixties namesake. It was a smaller member of the Jaguar family, encouraged by Ford which purchased the company in 1989 and was initially powered by the 4.0 litre AJ-V8 engine. With all the refinements one would expect of Jaguar, but in a more compact body, the S-Type has aged well and offers excellent value for money eleven years after the final model was produced.

With only two previous owners (from one family) and an odometer reading of just 40600 miles, this S-Type would indeed appear to be very good value. The current custodian purchased the motor car in 2014 and has used it carefully, but since buying a new Jaguar XE, the S-Type has become surplus to requirements.  The Pacific Blue paintwork (which could be cosmetically improved in some places) is complemented by the smart ivory interior, which in turn is enhanced by the ‘retro-fit’ wood kit centre consul. The Jaguar is offered for sale with an  MOT test certificate and is ready to be enjoyed and drives as you would expect.

The history file includes the handbooks in their original leather wallet and the original order form, stating the purchase price of £30,750, together with sundry paperwork, several MOT test certificates and the V5C registration certificate.
