This impressive and very special Daimler was imported from Japan in 2016. Due to the warm climate of the East, the motor car has survived well, with no apparent signs of the dreaded tin worm. Upon the Daimler’s return to these shores, we understand that a professional programme of de-chroming and respraying (in British Racing Green) was carried out and the motor car remains in excellent condition; in fact, the vendor tells us that cosmetically, the Daimler is 10 out of 10. The original cream leather upholstery, interior and carpets are all described as excellent and the dashboard and cappings are all original and good, as is the instrumentation. The motor car is fitted with new 18” alloy road wheels with new Dunlop 215/45/18 tyres. All mechanics are described as 10/10, including the stainless exhaust system and the upgraded, lowered suspension. We are informed that over £10000 has been lavished on the Daimler and the private registration number is included in the sale (the cost of which was originally £2000).

XJY 539 performs extremely well, reflecting the low mileage (the original KMS speedometer unit is supplied, confirming said mileage). Also included in the sale is the V5C registration certificate and the current MOT test certificate.
