From 1959 until ’64, Ariel produced the Arrow as a pared-down version of the iconic Leader, designed by Val Page and Bernard Knight. The sportier Arrow was powered by a respectable 247cc, air cooled two stroke twin engine, but was without the fully enclosed panel work of its sibling, which increased performance and also reduced costs, producing a more economical machine.

This example has been sympathetically restored and recommissioned by its late owner which, we are informed, included the rebuilding of both wheels (with the fitting of a new front tyre) and a full mechanical refit  to good running order. The 250cc Arrow would be ideal for club runs and VMCC events.

AFJ 393B is supplied with a spare engine, gearbox and carburettor unit, which is understood to have been overhauled.  The file includes the V5C registration certificate, the RF60 (incomplete) registration book, old road tax discs, sundry papers, an Ariel Leader owner’s guide, a workshop manual and a Brooklands ‘Road Test’ book.
