1961 Morris Minor 1000 Four Door Saloon

With an accessible spares back up and the superb Morris Minor Owners’ Club for support, the Minor is as popular today as it was in its heyday. It provides reliable and economical classic motoring, as ideal for family outings as it is for practical, every day transport.

This particular example, an early model with the 948cc engine, said to run more sweetly and to be easier to tune than the later 1098cc unit. These earlier Minors were nicely appointed inside with leather seats. This one has black bodywork with a red interior, although some restoration work will be required, particularly to the bottom of each door, and some stitching repairs will be needed to the leather. This Morris has not been used for a while so should make a reasonably straightforward winter rolling restoration project with re-commission advisable at the same time. The original registration number is included.
